Picnic In Review!

So, as you know, the second quarterly Pasadena Bloggers Picnic took place yesterday at Singer Park in the Steve Madisonland section of Pasadena.
It was great to see a lot of new and familiar faces and catch up with everyone face-to-face.
It’s very refreshing to hang out with cool and normal people. I actually have a lot more fun around the Pasadena bloggers than I do around my own ilk at some dark seedy corner in or near Hollywood. It’s nice to meet real people who have things like jobs and a life to look forward to and people who are honest thinkers and not sheep following around the crappy DJ-du-jour.
It was also very cool to see people like Larry Wilson (who told me a story about the Maserati on Arroyo place that was very Larry Wilson-esque) and Robin Salzer there, as well. And, yeah, Robin brought RIBS! They were tasty.
And thanks to Gavin, Jill, Kelly, Susan, and Miss Havisham for giving me a great new idea for this blog: stick puppet recaps and parodies of City Council meetings (If you’re out there reading, Martin Truitt, CALL ME!).
My girlfriend thinks Todd Ruiz’ voice is sexy. He also is apparently doing a chick who needs help fixing her bike *shrugs*. Todd’s a good looking bloke - I mean, he’s no Steve Haderlein, though.
Apparently Publius and Centinel were there, per my post before this.
Sid Tyler couldn’t make it because he was busy single handedly fighting terrorism. Or playing Bridge.
I love it when a plan comes together.
It’s also fun to yell “GANG VIOLENCE!” every time you hear a siren (well, we were right near Huntington Hospital).
And, damn it, isn’t Ed Padgett the friendliest dude in the world?
And now - picture time!
